We have a Love Parks winner!

I am really happy to announce our Love Parks winner as The Growing Redhill Project in Surrey which will be happening October 2nd. It is a budding project to encourage local people to use their local green spaces. In doing so they’ll develop their gardening skills and produce healthy local produce. The grow your own aspect is also complimented with the vision of a wildlife garden which will create a varied environment for birds and a myriad of small creatures.

Bank Holiday Sunshine (Fingers crossed)

I can’t believe it’s nearly September already! Given it’s the last bank holiday coming up for a while, we should all make the most of the sun and long nights and get into our gardens before it’s too late....I know we are due to have a scorcher of a weekend, so I will be putting my loppers to good use and getting into my veggie patch to cut back all the strawberries for next season.

BBC Gardeners World and our next project

I knew BBC Gardeners World was the biggest of the flower shows, but I was certainly not prepared for this. Massive is an understatement. It felt like it went on for ever.

I met some really cool people like nature Chris from the Cbebes channel, Craven Scott who edits Countrylife magazine and Big Dazz the gardener!

Chelsea Flower Show

Chelsea was just as you would expect, beautiful in every way. A spectacular show of the best of the best in gardening from tools (Fiskars of course) plants, hats, gloves and wellies galore. The sun was shining by day three and crowds of passionate gardeners were out in force. Ticket touts lined the streets outside the show, proving that garden shows are every bit as desirable as any rock concert.
